Real Life Faith
April 3, 2022
A faith that works is a faith that keeps on working: It’s a real-life faith that keeps on seeking Jesus, keeps on asking Jesus, keeps on obeying Jesus, and keeps on trusting in Jesus
How Not To Pray
January 9, 2022
God doesn’t need you to impress Him, He just needs you to want Him. And this changes everything about our prayers. Because it’s this attitude of your heart that declares your humble dependence on Him.
Our Place In His Story
January 2, 2022
What Jesus is doing here is awakening His followers to the new reality of God’s plan for His people in the Church age. The reason God’s Kingdom will not be established at this time, is that in just a few days, the Holy Spirit is going to come upon them all, and the Church will come into existence. Now, through theChurch, God’s kingdom will take up residence in the hearts of ordinary men and women, and together they will have one purpose: to be His witnesses in the world!

If I could, I’d like you to think of the Lord’s prayer in a whole new way. Like a little child who holds his father’s hand and doesn’t have a worry in the world, because you trust that He will not just provide for you, but care for you in every way.

People are curious about the Church. They are curious to see if God is real and working among us. And one way we get to show the world that there’s another way to live is by our genuine and joyous praise of God. So if there’s one thing God would like to see rebooted among us, is this contagious and joyous praise of who He is and what He is doing.

If Jesus’ spirit of grace is controlling the spirit within you, then no matter what you face in life, you’ll be all right. Think about this from Paul’s perspective. Even in prison, where everything seems to be against him, he has joy and peace, and is above it all because the grace of the Lord Jesus is with his spirit. He is thankful. He is not envious of other people’s success. He doesn’t complain. He is free from the pull of life’s ambitions. He’s has peace. And He is content.

We have an opportunity to show people that there is another way to live, especially at a time like this, when life may never go back to the way it was, when our freedoms are being threatened and our lifestyle is being altered. If our greatest treasure is Jesus, then we will rejoice in Him. When we live for Him, we will praise and not protest, we will pray and not pout.
