IDEA 1: With most people, there is a learning/processing journey to be made, to get to the place of following Jesus as one of His disciples.

The searches for life …

“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10

The snags from faith …

I am not good enough

I do not know enough

I do not believe enough

The step of faith…

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through who we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.” Romans 5:1

IDEA 2: How one comes to Jesus sets the course for their entire Christian life.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him.

       Colossians 2:6

Just as you received Christ Jesus, continue to live in Him

1.Put Him FIRST  But seek first his kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

FIRST Devotional Pattern:

First in the Day

Idea of the Passage

Relate it to Life

Seek God in Prayer

Take it with You

2. TRUST His Plan  “He will also keep you form to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with His Son.”  1 Corinthians 1:6

3. Spread His LOVE “Peace be with you! As the Father sent me, I am sending you. And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven.” John 20:21–22
