Opening of doors for Peter. “Now when they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him” (Acts 12:10 NASB).

Opening of doors for Paul and Barnabas. “When they had arrived and gathered the church together, they began to report all the things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles” (Acts 14:27 NASB).

Opening of doors for Paul. “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it clear in the way I ought to proclaim it” (Colossians 4:2-4 NASB).

“The mystery of Christ is the gospel. Paul had greater concern about getting the gospel out than he had with getting himself out of prison” (Thomas Constable).

God opens the door for me to share the gospel.

Are there people you care about who need to hear God’s Word, and particularly, the message of the Gospel? Consider praying to God and asking Him, in His own way and own timing, to open a door a witness to them.
